Another recovery truck in the Midlands carrying a car seized by gardai
Gardai in the Midlands have seized a recovery vehicle that was carrying a car.
A recovery vehicle was initially stopped by Laois Roads Policing Unit recently as the driver was not wearing their seat belt.
On further investigation, Gardai discovered that the driver did not have a driving licence or insurance and the vehicle's certificate of roadworthiness had expired. The vehicle was also found to be overweight when weighed and was seized.
Gardai say that court proceedings have commenced against the driver.
It’s the second time in just over a week that Laois Gardai have seized a recovery vehicle.
