UPDATE: Carol Nolan well ahead with almost 40% of boxes tallied in Offaly election
With almost 40% of the boxes in Offaly tallied at the election count in Birr, Carol Nolan is performing exceptionally well across the board in the county.

The sitting Independent TD has 23.9% of the votes tallied and looks set to clearly top the poll.
The tally is based on 40 out of 111 boxes.
Behind her, Fianna Fail is at 22.3% with Fine Gael's John Clendennen at 18.9%. Fianna Fail have two candidates in the race in Tony McCormack and Claire Murray.
Sinn Fein's Aoife Masterson is polling at 16.9% with other Independents including Eddie Fitzpatrick at 7.9%.
Independent Ireland's Fergus McDonnell is at 5.5% with the Green Party's Pippa Hackett at 2.5%.
Aontu's Maureen Ward and People Before Profit candidate Keishia Taylor are both polling at less than 2%.
