ELECTION UPDATE: Final tally figures in for Offaly constituency in General Election

The final tally figures are in for the Offaly constituency in the General Election and it is clear there is going to be a real battle to fill the three seats with transfers set to decide the race.

Independent Carol Nolan looks set to top the poll but it is unlikely that she will be elected on the first ballot. 

John Clendennen is polling second according to the tallies followed by Tony McCormack and Aoife Masterson. 

Those four are clear of the rest of the field and between them it is safe to say at this point will fill the three seats in Offaly.

The full final tally for Offaly is as follows with the quota likely to be in excess of 9,000 votes

Carol Nolan (IND) 8,021 - 21.92%

John Clendennen (FG) 6,704 - 18.32%

Tony McCormack (FF) 6,305 - 17.23%

Aoife Masterson (SF) 6,094 - 16.66%

Eddie Fitzpatrick (Ind) 2,616 - 7.15%

Claire Murray (FF) 2,439 - 6.67%

Fergus McDonnell (Ind Ire) 2,037 - 5.57%

Pippa Hackett (Green) 931 - 2.54%

Mike Boylan (Ind) 574 - 1.57%

Keisha Taylor (PBP) 554 - 1.51%

Maureen Ward (Aontu) 314 - 0.86%
