Offaly 3-2 Kildare 2-11

Despite scoring three goals, Offaly lost out Kildare in the Lidl Ladies National Football League Division 3, Round 2, in Edenderry on Saturday.

Kildare captain, Roisín Byrne was the scorer in chief for the visitors as she scored eight points on the day.

The sides were level at the break at 2-2 to 1-5 with Aoife Norris and Maebh Coleman getting Offaly's goals in the opening half with Norris and Amy Kerrigan adding the points.

Kildare however upped their game in the second half and pulled away while Offaly's only consolation was a late goal from Ellee McEvoy.

Offaly travel to Leitrim next weekend hoping to pick up their first points of the campaign

Scorers:Offaly: Aoife Norris 1-1 (1f); Maebh Coleman 1-0; Ellee McEvoy 1-0; Amy Kerrigan 0-1.

Kildare: Roisin Byrne 0-8 (7f); Grace Clifford 1-1;  Molly Price 1-0; Ellen Dowling 0-2  (2f).
