Most Offaly pub outside Offaly gets incredible GAA keepsake for above the bar
Offaly's most famous pub outside of Offaly has received an incredible GAA souvenir from an Offaly footballing legend.
The Celt Bar, although located on Talbot Street in Dublin, is a bonafide Offaly pub thanks to Offaly owner Noel Tynan who has made it a mecca for Faithful folk visiting the capital, particularly GAA fans.
Many an Offaly GAA fan would stop by the Celt after stepping off the train or bus during the glory days for the county's footballers and hurlers.
The pub took to social media to show off their latest addition to the bar, which they say will "take pride of place above the bar in the Celt Bar for the next 1,000 years."
The remarkable piece of sporting memorabilia is an Offaly GAA jersey signed by all seven of Offaly's All-Ireland winning captains in both football and hurling. Even more remarkable is the fact it is the jersey gifted to one of those captains, Richie Connor, at a gala dinner recently.

Each of the seven members of the exclusive club received one of the framed jerseys at the event with another being given away on the night to a lucky raffle winner.
The Celt Bar posted: "A huge thank you to Richie Connor, Offaly's 1982 All Ireland Winning Captain, for his generosity in giving me his jersey that was presented to him and the other six winning Offaly captains at a gala dinner in Tullamore recently. It will take pride of place above the bar in the Celt Bar for the next 1,000 years."
They included a photo of the jersey already installed above the famous bar.
People were quick to respond to the post: "The Celt Bar most definitely deserves to have this in the Bar after all the years of supporting Offaly county and the clubs. Noel has always been very generous to visiting hurling and camogie clubs from Offaly and it's much appreciated," one person wrote.
A second wrote: "Richie knew who would value it Noel Tynan a lovely thing to do."
