Offaly fans baffled as county flag is flown upside down at U20 All-Ireland final

Offaly hurling fans were left confused when they arrived to Nowlan Park in Kilkenny for the U20 All-Ireland Hurling final on Saturday evening.

Offaly take on Tipperary at 7.15pm on Saturday but Offaly fans already have their backs up over the flag being flown for the county in the stadium.

The traditional Offaly flag of green, white and gold is being flown upside down with the gold on top of the flag pole.

"They can't even get that right," one supporter joked on the terraces.

It was easy to notice for Offaly fans who far outnumber their rivals from Tipperary.

Whether it was a simple mistake or not, Offaly fans and players will be hoping all concerned will be given plenty of reason to get it right the next time if the Offaly flags are flying high at full-time this evening.
