There are over 1,000 entries in the Sheep Section at this Sunday's Tullamore Show
The Sheep Section at Tullamore Show just gets bigger and better each year.
This year there are no less than twenty one breeds exhibiting at the Tullamore Show and FBD National Livestock Show. With almost 1000 entries there will probably be breeds you’ve not seen before.
The Welsh Lleyn and Lanark breeds will hold their National Show on the day.
Every year each sheep has to be shorn on every farm and there is a Sheep Shearing Demo on throughout the day and talks on mental health by George Graham. Farming can be a lonely life and depression can set in for a few.
Those sheep farmers need a well trained sheep dog to make their job a little easier. Sheep dog demos will take place near the sheep area . They are a spectacle to watch.
A walk around the rare breeds with Highland cattle and many more on view is a must and what about the adorable Alpacas.
