Offaly country star to host her own TV show

In that message, Olivia said, "I'm delighted to let you all know that my first show, 'Keltic Country Ireland with Olivia Douglas', will be going out next Wednesday,June 13 at 6pm, on Keep It Country TV, and every Wednesday at the same time from then on. Hope you can tune in, guys, and thank you all for the support."

Becoming the presenter of her own TV show is just the latest sign of how fast Olivia's star continues to rise in what has already been a momentous and exciting first half of 2018.

So far this year, Olivia has been honoured with awards from the Sunday World (Best Midlands Artist), and Hot Country (Hottest Female in Irish Country Music), and has performed at the 3Arena in Dublin during the C2C Festival, which featured giants of American country music such as Tim McGraw and his wife, Faith Hill.

Olivia has also celebrated the release of her second album, 'Forever Country', and seen the single 'Leaving Tipperary' become her second #1 from that album.

Throw her new role as a presenter into the mix, and things are showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Olivia, however, is ready for the challenge and looking forward to what waits ahead.

"It's been a pretty amazing year so far, and this is something else that's going to make 2018 a good one for the memory books. Presenting is something new to me, obviously, so like anything else new there'll be a bit of a learning curve involved," Olivia remarked.

"There's definitely an advantage to be gained from being used to being up on stage, but it's also very new in other ways, so I'll take it a show at a time and see how we get on. But the folks at Keltic Country have been brilliant to work with so far, and they've been great with tips and advice, so I know I'm in good hands and part of a strong team who know this side of the business inside and out."

Olivia continued, "It's still early days but I'm feeling more comfortable with every show we record. And of course, the fact that it's all music related is the key, because this is what I do myself as well. And not only that, but as I've said many times, I'm actually a fan, too. So it's great fun to actually be able to introduce and play the videos of so many artists that I know."

Olivia's new show, 'Keltic Country Ireland with Olivia Douglas', premieres on Keep It Country TV, Europe's only dedicated country music channel, at 6pm on June 13. Keep It Country is available on Sky channel 376.
