Don't 'Knock' the true believers

Seeing is believing in this week’s offering from the Dunamaise Arts Centre’s Access Cinema, in the quirky Irish documentary film Strange Occurrences in a Small Irish Village, which screens on September 28.

Everyone wants to believe in miracles. Welcome to the village built on one. At first glance, Knock may appear to be little more than a relic of Ireland’s past, populated by dogmatic Catholics steadfastly clinging to the idea that the Virgin Mary once appeared here.

But this documentary reveals people with compelling stories, some of whom believe in The Miracle, some in smaller, everyday miracles.
