Food, films, and fun: Your weekend in Offaly is sorted
With Met Éireann predicting sunny spells this weekend, why not make the most of it by catching a movie outside at Birr Castle.
OFFline Film Festival is bringing some of the country's most loved classics outdoors this weekend with Moonlit Movies. There'll also be some scrumptious snacks served by the Courtyard Cafe at the castle.
The event will kick-off this Friday night with the iconic Irish favourite The Commitments. The venue will open at 7:30pm for full-price ticket holders with food available from 8pm, before the movie starts at 9pm. Those who have full-price tickets will also receive food and a complimentary drink as included in the ticket price. Full-price tickets will set you back €25.
For screen-only ticket holders, doors open at 8:30pm and cost only €10.

The fun continues on Saturday as Moonlit Movies present the hit 2016 flick Sing Street on the big screen. The same times and prices apply to Saturday night's showing.
Next week will see the return of the outdoor big screen at Courthouse Yard in Birr on Saturday September 7. Next week's movie of choice will be the critically acclaimed KNEECAP released only in August of this year.
Fingers crossed the good weather sticks around!
