COOLDERRY Drama Group will take to the stage this year with their hilarious production of 'Cupid Wore Skirts', a three act play by Sam Cree. Well known for his plays full of fun and frolics, this play will not disappoint.
Cupid Wore Skirts is an hilarious comedy in which widower Andrew Coulter ill-advisedly bets his abrasive sister in-law that he will be remarried within a week and promptly puts an advert in the personal column of the local paper.
What follows is the usual antics as three highly unsuitable women line up as potential wives and a number of classic Sam Cree farcical situations unfold with hilarious results. The action takes place in the living room at the rear of Andrew Coulter’s antique shop in a busy city, where he is joined by Grandad (Tom Kelly) and his son Brian (Tommy Teehan).
Rehearsals have been taking place since October and cast are looking forward to bringing this production to the stage. This year also marks the 20th Anniversary of Coolderry Drama Group and all involved are immensely proud of this achievement.
Once again directed by Paul Spencer, you will see some familiar faces take to the stage again with some returning to the stage after a short hiatus.
As with all productions, the show would not go on without the great help behind the scenes and as always they are lucky to have a great crew behind them.
They can’t wait to welcome you to Coolderry Hall on February 22nd, 23rd & 24th to witness the antics of poor Andrew Coulter in his search for a companion!
