GALLERY: Busy and successful week for Gallen CS

From enterprise to gaelic football, it was a very successful week for the Ferbane school

It was another busy and successful week for the students of Gallen CS as this gallery of pictures shows.

While the Senior Football team were claiming the North Leinster title - CLICK HERE TO READ REPORT - students from first and second year were claiming prizes at the Offaly Schools Enterprise Awards.

First years Rebecca and Katie who won 3rd prize in the Junior Section, Second Years Emma, Orla, Madeliene and Roisin won 2nd prize in the Intermediate Section while second years Liam and Nathan won second prize. The school extended thanks to Mrs McDonagh and Ms Shine for their work with the students in preparing them for the Enterprise Awards.

The school also had a 'Go Orange Day' where students wore orange to raise awareness of Mental Health while TY student Shanneesse Bolton TY presented a cheque to the St Vincent De Paul, Ferbane group. The money was raised through selling Kandy Kanes in Gallen CS
