WATCH: Shoppers stunned as Hollywood's Paul Rudd films in Irish shopping centre

The appearance of Marvel's Ant-Man in Dundrum caused quite a stir among shoppers

Shoppers at the Dundrum Town Centre in Dublin were left starstruck this week when Hollywood A-lister Paul Rudd was spotted filming scenes for an upcoming project.

The appearance of Marvel's Ant-Man caused quite a stir among shoppers, with many sharing the moment on social media.

Paul Rudd was seen interacting with a behind-the-scenes crew, is said to be filming his latest movie Power Ballad which will also feature Nick Jonas and Jack Reynor, who appeared in the popular Irish film Sing Street.

Social media quickly buzzed with comments from fans about narrowly missing Mr Rudd's appearance. One fan said: "I could cry, leaving cert tomorrow and Paul Rudd just wandering this place," while another added: "I go there everyday for work, and the one day I don't he shows up!"

One exasperated fan shared their dismay at missing the A-lister, saying: "Are you telling me I was in Dundrum and saw this film crew but missed Paul Rudd???"

Filming is underway from director John Carney and is proudly supported by Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland.

Written by John Carney and Peter McDonald, the film will chart the story of a wedding singer (Paul Rudd), a rock star (Nick Jonas), and the song that comes between them.
