The New England Patriots produced a fightback of epic proportions to win the Superbowl last night and it has commentators proclaiming it as the greatest sporting comeback of all time..... and it put us in mind of an equally astonishing sporting resurrection much closer to home.
Last night it was Tom Brady and James White leading the way helped by a downright ridiculous catch from Julian Edelman to overcame the Atlanta Falcons.
In the All Ireland Final of 1994, it was Johnny Dooley and Pat O'Connor who were to the forefront with goals while Billy Dooley launched over some audacious points as Offaly scored 2-5 in the last five minutes.
Sit back and enjoy the epic comeback that was more than on a par with the exploits of the New England Patriots last night.
