Tullamore band Chasing Abbey's song 'That Good Thing' has been garnering lots of attention in recent weeks as the three-piece continue to see their stock rise on the Irish music scene. Chasing Abbey recently reformed in July of 2016, but they've been making a big impression on the live circuit, and have already recorded original music.
Having grown up sharing a love of music together, Ro, Bee and TeddyC have an unparalleled charisma that culminates in an explosive live show, producing a blend of pop, dance and hip hop that Kate Brennan Harding, producer of Today FM's popular show 'Lost in Music', describes as "brilliant and unique," claiming the Tullamore group are "the coolest thing to come out of Tullamore."
Chasing Abbey also took to Facebook in recent weeks to announce that they have been snapped up to perform at this year's BARE in the Woods music festival, which will take place in the beautiful Garryhinch woods, on the Offaly/Laois border between Mountmellick and Portarlington. The festival itself is renowned for its laid back eco-friendly ethos and seriously good musical entertainment.
In recent weeks, the single has been gaining traction as it was featured on Today's FM's Dermot and Dave Show as their 'Homegrown Hero' featured track, while it was also named JOE.ie's single of the day on Monday.
It certainly appears as though there is more success on the horizon for this promising young band.
