GVM Mart in Tullamore calls off sale due to treacherous road conditions
THE usual Monday night weanling sale at Tullamore mart has been cancelled due to road conditions.
GVM Mart in Tullamore said the sales had been cancelled due to treacherous road conditions caused by the snow and freezing weather.
It said the decision was made in the safety interests of its staff and customers.
A number of marts – mainly in the south of the country – have also called off sales due to the weather and road conditions.
Schools in the wider Tullamore area were also closed on Monday.
