Latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland for the weekend is not looking good

The latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland for the weekend is in and it's not looking good.

According to Met Eireann, there will be rain through Friday night and much of Saturday and after a dry start to Sunday, the rain is set to return on Sunday afternoon and evening.

According to the latest forecast, cloud will continue to increase from the west through Friday with outbreaks of rain developing along Atlantic coastal areas, the rain extending further inland this evening. Rain over the western half of the country will extend eastwards tonight, becoming widespread and turning heavy at times. It will be humid with temperatures not dropping below 12 to 14 degrees in mostly light south or southeast breezes.

According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast, Saturday morning will be wet with rain in most areas, heavy at times. Rain will gradually clear eastwards later in the afternoon with sunny spells and a few showers following from the west. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees with light southerly breezes becoming northwesterly and freshening as rain clears.

Saturday night will be cooler and fresher with clear spells and a few showers in the west. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees with light to moderate westerly breezes.

According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast, after a mainly dry start to Sunday, rain will develop in the west during the morning and then spread eastwards to all areas through the afternoon and evening. A cooler day with highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees with light to moderate southerly winds.

Sunday night will be a wet night with widespread rain. It will gradually clear much of Munster and south Leinster overnight with scattered showers following there. Lowest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees with light southerly or variable winds.

According to Met Eireann, Monday will be a bright, fresh day for most with sunny spells and scattered showers. However, it will remain cloudy over much of Munster with rain developing in the southwest later in the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees with moderate west to northwest winds.
