High pressure will build for Ireland this week bringing more settled weather as temperatures are also set to rise.
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland, high pressure pressure will build bringing more settled weather this week with temperatures increasing too.
By Friday, temperatures are set to reach highs of 23 degrees and according to Met Eireann's extended range forecast, high pressure is signalled to continue over the country up to the end of June and into July. According to Met Eireann, this will likely lead to temperatures running above average for the time of year, along with rain amounts being below normal for the period.
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland, Tuesday will be generally dry with cloud breaking up during the evening with longer clear spells overnight. More cloud will develop across northern counties before dawn however. A light northerly breeze and lows of 5 to 8 degrees.
According to Met Eireann, Wednesday will be a mostly cloudy day but some bright and sunny spells will develop across southern and eastern counties later in the afternoon. Light northerly breezes and highs of 16 to 20 degrees. There will be long clear spells in the south and east on Wednesday night but cloud will push in across the west and north during the night. Largely dry with light winds and lows of 7 to 10 degrees.
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland, there will be cloudy periods and sunny spells on Thursday, the best of which will be in the east and south. A spell of rain will move in over counites in the far north for a time but staying largely dry elsewhere with southwesterly breezes and highs of 18 to 22 degrees.
Friday looks set to be cloudy with a few showers at first but some sunny spells in the east. Rain will push in across western counties later in the afternoon, becoming widespread by evening. Highs of 19 to 23 degrees and moderate southwesterly winds.
