The BOLD Community Christmas dinner was held recently in the Central Hotel, Tullamore. It was great to be able to meet up after the last few years of Covid.
While Chairperson Damien Mealiffe was unable to attend, he was ably represented by Lily Scully who spoke on his behalf.
For a small community there is a lot going on in the area – childcare, security pendants, home fixes, water scheme, bog walk, defibrillators and community dinner celebrations to name a few.
The most recent activity was the Christmas Market which showcased a lot of local crafts and businesses.
None of these would be possible without the support of the local BOLD Lotto. Committee members Damien, Lily, Audrey, Brid, Mary, Yvonne, Gerry, Liam and Jimmy would love if more members of the community would get involved.
The monthly committee meetings are a great opportunity to put in place supports for the entire community – so if you want to help contribute something to your community, please contact any committee member.
The committee would like to thank the staff of the Central Hotel for hosting the dinner and also extend sincere thanks to 'Double Up' who provided the music and John Leavy, Leavy's Centra, Tullamore who sponsored the wine.
They would also like to wish everyone a healthy and happy Christmas and wish every good luck for 2023.
