s the countdown to Christmas is well and truly underway, the  We Act  campaign is urging people to continue to support their local charities this festive season.

We Act  is about celebrating the value and impact of Ireland’s almost 35,000 charities, community groups and social enterprises, each providing crucial services dedicated to making our world a better place.

Research undertaken by the campaign has found that three-quarters of people surveyed believe that the lives of vulnerable people in our society would be impacted if charities disappeared overnight.

You can make sure that never, ever, happens.

Why not lend your support by popping in to your local charity boutique for a seasonal gift? Perhaps you’d consider jumping in some ice-cold waters on Christmas Day to help raise funds for a great cause? Or maybe you could dig deep for the choir singing merrily on the street as you wander by?

And if you’re already contemplating some New Year resolutions, why not consider joining the more than one million volunteers around the country and how you can give back in 2023?

Simply check out  www.weact.ie/volunteer  to discover the role to suit your skills and talents!

Together, we can all help make change for the better. Together, we act.
