REVEALED: Streets in Tullamore where road markings are to be repainted

The stop sign leading onto Convent View from Davitt St, Callary St and Park Avenue in Tullamore has been repainted

DETAILS of streets and housing estates in Tullamore where road markings are to be repainted by Offaly County Council have been revealed.

Releasing the list of streets this week, Cllr Declan Harvey welcomed the development and said he had been lobbying on the issue for some time.

He stressed the importance of road safety and said the repainting road markings would make it safer for both motorists and pedestrians.

O'Molloy St/Main St junction
Main St Junction at Western relief Rd
Continuous white line up to medain at St Brigid's School
Crossing at Scoil Mhuire
Traffic lights at train station, all approaches and directional arrows
Sragh Rd from Cox's bridge, white line and yield
Junction at Moylena
All approaches to Sragh road roundabout
Marian Place junction with Kilbride St
Pearse Pk and O'Molloy St junctions at Cox's Bridge (Clara Rd)
Disabled parking bay outside the lantern pub, yellow lines and junction boxes Kilbride St
Market Place, between market sq and Church St, disabled bays and double yellows
New Road roundabout and central road marking on the new road
Patrick St, disabled parking bays, directional arrows and double yellows
Cormac St, disabled bay, junction boxes, double yellows
Junction between Spollanstown and the Charleville Rd
Continuous white line between the rugby club and the railway bridge
Junction between Spollanstown and O Moore St
