Exciting and informative Offaly Tourism Webinar

Offaly Tourism Marketing recently hosted a successful online Tourism webinar titled ‘Rebuilding together for the Future’.

The event was well attended by various different stakeholders from the tourism and hospitality trade. Organised by Offaly County Council, in association with Offaly Tourism Marketing (CLG), the free business-to-business event provided tourism stakeholders with the opportunity to familiarise themselves with what is happening within the tourism industry and be fully informed on the plans for County Offaly.

The event was hosted by Tina O’Dwyer from The Tourism Space and featured special guest speakers from the industry, including Jarlath O’Dwyer of Burren Ecotourism and Pól Ó Conghaile Irish Independent Travel Editor. 

On a local level, the Chief Executive of Offaly County Council, Anna Marie Delaney, Offaly Tourism Marketing Chairperson Grainne O’ Malley and the Tourism Officer Olive Farrelly also provided information on Offaly’s tourism network, an update on the marketing achievements to date and future plans.

Pól Ó Conghaile, Irish Independent Travel Editor commented; "I had no idea there was so much going on in Offaly in tourism terms, and so much in the pipeline. It's hugely exciting. Off-radar destinations with strong community groups and tourism networks have an opportunity now as holidaymakers return with a vengeance after the pandemic. Outdoor living, authentic local culture and great access all work in Offaly's favour. I'm looking forward to seeing how its tourism develops in the coming years!"  

To follow up the event, Offaly Tourism Marketing will be providing its members with a free six week training programme hosted by Tina O’Dwyer from The Tourism Space. Tina is a professionally certified coach, mentor, facilitator and MC. She has been recognised as a Thought Leader in High Performance Tourism. Tina has expert knowledge of the tourism industry and works with networks and individuals in Ireland and the United Kingdom. She is the founder of The Tourism Space, which hosts a range of professional development events, including a national conference, Masterclass Bootcamps and a Leadership Mastermind. Tina also hosts a membership community that offers an online training and networking platform for tourism professionals worldwide.
