Vikings, villains and much more in Tullamore Library on Saturday
AN event which has been billed as a vibrant celebration of pop culture, creativity, and community spirit which will bring fans into a world of fantasy and fun will take place at Tullamore Library this Saturday, September 13.
The Offaly Libraries Mini Con, with the theme Heroes and Villians, will feature Viking history, comics and graphic novels, robotics, board games, Pokemon card trading, cosplay, face painting, balloons, a gaming van and much more.
Living History: Vikings! will be presented by field archaeologist and heritage specialist Dave Swift and his display of all things Viking. Heroes and villains will collide in tales of Brian Boru versus Brodir.
At the Comic Corner there will be a wide array of comics, graphic novels and 'how to' books – something for all ages (those with library cards will be able to borrow).
