Pomeranian in pram gives Tullamore Show judges pause for thought

FROSTIE the female Pomeranian was a star attraction at the Tullamore Show dog show when she settled into her vintage pram.

Frostie was entered by 12-year-old dog lover Theresa who was accompanied to the show by her mother Theresa Sinnott and uncle Alan Sinnott.

And Frostie was not alone – she was joined in the busy judging ring by another exceptionally well groomed Pomeranian, Paws, and their companion pet, the Jack Russell terrier Chips.

Despite her tender years Theresa from Enniscorthy is a dog show veteran, having already criss-crossed the country with her furry four-legged friend.

“I like coming out in the summer with the dogs and having the craic,” she remarked.

She competed in Adamstown, Co Wexford and did so well there that she qualified for the prestigious dog show at next month's Clonaslee Show on September 14.

She has also entered the dog show in Mullingar. “We got a first place and a few other seconds.”

The Sinnotts travelled up on Saturday and humans and canines all stayed with Christine's friend in Tyrrellspass, Oliver Finn, the window and door repair specialist.

“And he doesn't even like dogs!” laughed Christine.

Christine wore an eye catching red hat for her day out at the Tullamore Show. “It's a horsey hat, I'm a horsey woman as well.”

Did she attend Kilbeggan Races on Saturday evening?

“I did two weeks ago. I didn't go last night, you can't go everywhere!” she said.
