Tullamore College’s Senior French Debating Team has claimed a spectacular All-Ireland victory in the prestigious Joutes Oratoires competition, held at the Alliance Française institute in Dublin.

This marks the school’s third consecutive appearance in the national final, a testament to the team’s dedication and linguistic excellence.

The victorious team—Isobel McAuliffe (captain), Kinga Steczo, and Abbie Maunsell—delivered outstanding performances throughout the competition.

On the final day, they demonstrated sharp reasoning and fluent French as they debated complex topics, including artificial intelligence, environmental issues, and the relevance of the French language in today’s world.

A huge félicitations to the team for their incredible achievement.

Special thanks also to their teacher, Ms. Rougerie, and to Daniel Scally for their dedicated support in preparing the team for this intense and rewarding challenge.
