THERE is still time to apply for community grants in Offaly, the Cathaoirleach of Tullamore Municipal District, Cllr Frank Moran has pointed out.

Welcoming details of the latest grant announcements at last Friday's meeting of the body, the Clara based public representative said application forms can be sourced by interested parties online on Offaly County Council's website.

The groups which have received funding under the scheme are – Tullamore Christmas Markets €3,000; Tullamore Christmas Lights €6,000; Ready €1,000; Mella's Ladies Group €500; Killoughey Church Preservation Committee €3,000; Heather Grove Residents Committee €500; Durrow Graveyard Committee €1,500; Boher Parents Association €1,500; Ballycumber Village Community Group €1,000; Accessible Counselling Tullamore (ACT) €2,500.
