A double milestone was celebrated at Mountlucas parkrun at the weekend.
Mary Rowan celebrated completing 150 parkruns while Garry Hilliard celebrated completing 200 parkruns. Garry completed his 200 parkruns across a phenomenal 34 parkrun venues across the country. His most frequent pakruns are Mountlucas in Co Offaly and Vicarstown in Co Laois.
Mary Rowan, a member of Naomh Mhuire Athletics Club in Daingean, is a regular of Mountlucas parkrun. She has completed 45 of her 50 parkruns there, but has done others as far afield as New Zealand.
Parkrun is a free, weekly, timed event held at venues across the country, including Mountlucas windfarm in Co Offaly. For more information see parkrun.ie/mountlucas
