A very successful tractor run took place in Rahugh on Saturday last
Rahugh Hall Development Association “Christmas Lights” Tractor Run was held on Saturday last and 44 tractors took part.
The participants were very innovative with their designs and spent time and great efforts lighting up their tractors - they certainly gave the onlookers a spectacle of lights.
Despite a little wind the weather held up and great fun was had by all. The organisers wish to thank the independent judges who had an extremely hard task in picking the best “dressed” tractor – no easy task when everyone did such a fantastic job!
Ultimately Jason Maguire, (Clonaglin, Kilbeggan) and his Case tractor were declared the winner. However, special mention must also be made of Paddy Boohan (Kilbeggan) and Pat Dunne (Rahugh) who were both highly commended.
To everyone who took part – organiers appreciate your time and effort! Thanks also are proffered to all sponsors, stewards and the Rahugh Hall Committee for the efforts in making this a night to remember in Rahugh. Happy Christmas and New Year.
All funds raised go to the maintenance and upkeep of Rahugh Community Hall.
