Old and young alike enjoyed the annual senior citizens party
The Killeigh Senior Citizens Christmas Party is always one of the highlights of the Killeigh and Killurin communities and this year’s event certainly didn’t disappoint.
Recently over 100 local senior citizens gathered together for a fantastic afternoon which got everyone into the Christmas spirit.
The committee made a special thanks to all who made the event possible – the Bridge House Hotel and their staff for their warm hospitality; local musician, Lorcan O’Rourke for keeping people entertained during the party; Mrs Mary Brophil who continued the tradition of making a beautiful Christmas cake; Ciara Kinnarney for taking fantastic photographs; and, all those who kindly donated raffle prizes.
This party couldn’t take place without the support of the local community and the Killeigh Senior Citizens Committee would like to thank local businesses and clubs/organisations for their amazing generosity and to everyone who kindly donated towards their church gate collection and GoFundMe campaign.
The committee is already looking forward to next year’s event and would like to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas.
