Free car parking is being provided in Tullamore in December
Independent councillor, Sean O' Brien, has welcomed the decision by Tullamore Municipal District Council to grant some free parking for people doing their Christmas shopping in Tullamore.
There will be one hour free parking in all public spaces and all public car parks from December 1 to December 31.
Revealed Cllr O'Brien: “In addition there will be three hours free parking in the O' Neill Place car park, just off High St., behind Spollens pub.”
He said he hoped this will encourage shoppers to do their Christmas shopping in Tullamore.
“I strongly encourage people to shop local as this is vital for local jobs and the development of the retail sector in Tullamore," stated Cllr O' Brien.
