Funeral arrangements announced for Offaly motor accident victim

Funeral arrangements have been announced for the man who died in a single-vehicle road traffic collision near Tullamore last weekend.

The accident occurred between 5am and 5.30am on Saturday last, June 3 at Cloonagh East.

The sole occupant of the car involved, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

He has been named as Alan Egan (37), a father of two, from  Chancery Park in Tullamore.

Deepest sympathy is extended to his partner Ann Marie, children Lorcan and Angel, parents Paddy and Marie and siblings Aishling, Noel and Patrick.

His remains will repose in Lawless' Funeral Home, Mucklagh (R35 C5P6) on Wednesday evening, June 7 from 3.30 pm until 6.00 pm. Removal at 6.20 pm to the Church of the Assumption, Tullamore.

Requiem Mass on Thursday, June 8 at 10.00 am. Burial afterwards in Clonminch Cemetery, Tullamore.

May he rest in peace.

Gardaí have issued an appeal for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the R421 at Cloonagh East between 4.45am and 5.45am are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
