Tullamore Hospital has been described as an excellent facility
A local woman who recently spent time as a patient in Tullamore Hospital has written to the Tullamore Tribune this week expressing her appreciation of the wonderful facility.
Catherine Loughman, in a letter to the paper's Editor, also says people should be very grateful to Brian Cowen for the hospital.
The full text of the letter is as follows;
A chara,
Have the people of Tullamore any idea of what an excellent hospital they have in their midst and how thankful we should be to Brian Cowen for achieving it for us.
I have experienced nothing less than superb care - and I mean superb care - from every single person with whom I’ve been in contact no matter what their role.
Everything works. It is spotless. The food is fresh, piping hot and always imaginative. Everything is explained clearly, every decision expanded on if necessary and no need to fear anything. Down moments noticed and dealt with appropriately. It’s up to ourselves. If we want to listen to all those negative people out there then suffer the consequences but there’s no need!
Come with an open mind and see just how they care, do their job so well always going the extra step. It’s just been amazing- words fail me actually.
But please appreciate what we have and thank anyone who had to work here during the beginning of Covid in particular. It was nothing less than horrendous and each one here will have been scarred.
Time will heal but what a time they had.
Yours sincerely,
Catherine Loughman,
Tullamore
