Mairead Scally celebrates her 100th parkrun with other enthusiasts
Clear skies and sunshine greeted the 71 participants and volunteers at Mountlucas Windfarm for the Mountlucas parkrun last weeend.
Mairead Scally, a Mountlucas regular celebrated her 100th run. Michelle is a great supporter of Mountlucas parkrun, volunteering on a regular basis. She was joined on the day by her daughter Pearl, who completed the run with her. The rest of the family were on hand to cheer her across the finish line.
There were a number of first timers and visitors from Vicarstown and Tipperary.
Parkrun is a free weekly timed 5k event for runners and walkers that takes place every Saturday morning at more than 2,000 locations in 23 Countries across the world.
Mountlucas Parkrun is based at Mountlucas Wind farm outside Daingean, so why not turn up at 9.30 am on Saturday morning to see what it is all about.
