Offaly well represented in New York for St Patrick's Day

Legendary Offaly footballer Martin Furlong is joined by the Chief Executive of Offaly Co. Council, Anna Marie Delaney and Tullamore native Paddy Hogan in the NY parade

Offaly was well represented in last week's New York St Patrick's Day Parade with the Chief Executive of Offaly County Council, Anna Marie Delaney and the Cathaoirleach, Cllr Frank Moran marching under the Offaly banner.

Tullamore natives, the football legend Martin Furlong and Paddy Hogan, a leading light in the New York Offaly Association and regular visitor home to the Offaly county town, were also among the dignitaries from Offaly present.

Our picture shows Anna Marie Delaney, Martin Furlong and Paddy Hogan in jovial spirits as they march through the centre of the Big Apple.

There was a large contingent of Offaly natives resident in New York in the parade who were joined by some visitors from the Faithful County from the occasion.
