Personnel from Lighthouse prepare to shoot the advert in Tullamore on Monday morning
SHOOTING began this morning on a digital and television advert for Tullamore Dew whiskey which will be viewed by millions across the globe in the coming months.
Early on Monday morning film crews descended on William St in the Offaly capital to shoot the advert at Clarke's barber shop and Digan's public house.
Footage for the advert will also be filmed at Lough Boora and Cappyroe near Ballinagar over the coming days.
In a post on Facebook, Digan's public house apologised to their customers that they would not open until 6.30pm on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in order to facilitate filming.
The advert will give huge publicity for Tullamore and Offaly as it will be viewed by tens of millions of people throughout the world.
The advert follows up on a billboard campaign by Tullamore Dew in the United States which feature local business people Anne McCormack of Tyrrell's shop and bakery, O'Moore St and Paul Bell of the Brewery Tap public house on Bridge St.
