Luke Offord hit a second-half equaliser as MK Dons maintained their unbeaten league start to the season with a 1-1 draw at Crawley.
Ade Adeyemo gave Crawley the lead on the stroke of half-time, the first goal Dons have conceded in the league, but Offord’s header clinched the visitors a well-earned point.
Crawley broke the deadlock in the seventh minute of stoppage time when Ade Adeyemo rifled in a low left-foot shot after Danny Cashman’s effort had been blocked.
The Red Devils had started on the front foot and Cashman forced keeper Craig MacGillivray to save superbly from his acrobatic shot at the back post.
Callum Paterson hit a post for Dons midway through the half, but MacGillivray produced fine saves to deny Kaheim Dixon and captain Dion Conroy while Kabongo Tshimanga also blazed over from a good position.
Dixon, on loan from Charlton, should have doubled Crawley’s lead just after the hour mark when he wastefully blazed over after a surging run from Harry McKirdy.
But defender Offord struck to make it 1-1 in the 71st minute at the back post by heading in an accurate cross from Gethin Jones.
Crawley’s first point of the season comes after they opened the season with three successive league defeats.
