Barrow secure back-to-back wins with victory over MK Dons

Kyle Cameron’s first goal for the club earned Barrow back-to-back League Two wins for the first time since September after a 2-1 victory over MK Dons.

Scott Hogan fired the Dons ahead before Kian Spence equalised, with Cameron securing the victory to lift the Cumbrians 14 points above the relegation zone.

Experienced striker Hogan opened the scoring after just eight minutes as he fired home after being found by Dan Crowley’s defence-splitting pass.

But the hosts quickly levelled through Spence’s fine volley, his third goal in two games, after Ben Whitfield’s corner was cleared to him on the edge of the box.

Hogan was denied a second by a fine one-on-one stop by Paul Farman.

Stevenage loanee Aaron Pressley nodded an inviting Ben Jackson free-kick over for Barrow.

Cameron gave the hosts the lead just after the hour when he tapped home Whitfield’s powerful cross.

Down at the other end, Alex Gilbey nodded against the post before heading the rebound wide with the goal at his mercy.

Hogan saw an effort chalked off for offside before Whitfield had a goal ruled out for a foul in the build-up.
