Ben Thompson’s first-half strike saw Bromley down high-flying Doncaster for their third win of the season.
Andy Woodman’s side had not picked up a victory in any competition since the second weekend of the campaign but showed tremendous organisation and tenacity to see out the win at the Eco-Power Stadium.
Doncaster started much the brighter and piled on the pressure over the first quarter of the game.
But a smart set-piece routine for Bromley saw them take the lead against the run of play. Olufela Olomola cut the ball back after receiving a short corner and Thompson drilled in from 15 yards.
Bromley keeper Grant Smith was in inspired form throughout the night and produced a string of excellent saves.
The visitors proved a tough nut to crack, with Patrick Kelly, Jordan Gibson, Billy Sharp and Harry Clifton all denied by Smith.
At the death, Rovers substitute Ephraim Yeboah saw a fierce shot blocked bravely by Byron Webster to ensure Bromley took the spoils.
