Chesterfield twice came from behind to draw 2-2 with Walsall.
Nathan Lowe scored both Walsall goals while Darren Oldaker and Dilan Markanday were on the scoresheet for the hosts.
Lowe scored Walsall’s opener in the 33rd minute after Chesterfield’s defence failed to capitalise on the rebound, allowing him to easily slot the ball in the centre of the goal.
Oldaker’s coolly placed shot to the bottom corner of the goal following a free-kick by Tom Naylor drew the hosts level seconds before the first half concluded.
Walsall’s second goal came in the 46th minute, after Liam Gordon’s wonderful through ball created space for Lowe to gently place the ball in the corner of the goal for his second of the game.
The Spireites found another equaliser in the 67th minute when Markanday’s close-range finish ignited the momentum for the hosts and sent the 9,000 spectators to their feet.
A few chances late on for either side came to nothing as both teams settled for a hard-fought draw.
