The KNVB have confirmed that the fixture between the Republic of Ireland and the Netherlands will take place in Amsterdam's Johan Cruijff ArenA on Saturday, November 18, 2023.
It will be the final match of Ireland's UEFA EURO 2024 qualifying campaign as the Boys in Green return to the Johan Cruijff ArenA for a competitive match for the first time since 2000 where the two teams played out a memorable 2-2 draw.
Ireland ran into a two-goal lead with goals either side of the break, a header from Robbie Keane and a fantastic long-range strike from Jason McAteer, before the Dutch rallied to claim a point.
Regardless of the late surge from the Netherlands, the point proved crucial in Ireland's quest to qualify for the 2002 World Cup, with Ireland's 1-0 home win over the same opposition sealing their spot in the finals tournament.
The last time the countries met at the then named 'ArenA Amsterdam' was in 2004 when Ireland defeated the Dutch 1-0 in an international friendly.
