CAMOGIE: Busy year ahead as leading Offaly club celebrates 50 years

A BUSY year lies ahead for Tullamore Camogie Club as it celebrates its 50th Anniversary.
A full year of activities and events are being planned.  
To kick off events the club will hold the Launch and Exhibition covering the last 50 years   on Friday, March 10 next at the GAA Social Centre from 7.30 pm, O Brien Park, Tullamore.
A programme of events will also be launched on the night.
All current and former players family and friends are invited to look back at some great photos and books of   the years past.
The club will also be taking part in this year's St Patrick’s Day parade and encourage all members to join in the fun on March 17.
Further details will be issued later to the date.  
Offaly Camogie
Congratulations to U14 Tullamore members Meg Bennett, Aoife Kavanagh, Lucy Bennett, Katie Hannon, Anna McGreal, Rachel Cunningham, Ella Condron, Katie Colgan who as part of the Offaly Development Squad who played a challenge game against Meath on Saturday last.  Tullamore Coaches Padraig Hannon and Dermot Cunningham.
A special thanks to Edenderry GAA/Camogie for hosting. Great to see newly formed clubs Edenderry and Belmont with players involved at U14 development.
Hard luck  to the Offaly Senior Camogie team who lost out to Waterford in the first round of the senior league last Saturday.
Great to have so many senior girls on the county panel this year; Leah Gallagher, Lisa Gorman, Orla Gorman,   Sarah Walsh, Aisling Feeney, Rachael O Brien and Becky Bryant.  Wishing   the girls all the best as the take on Down away on Saturday 25th Feb. 
Club Registration
Membership is now open and can be paid through Foireann. www.foireann.ie 
For anyone having issues with registering  on Foireann the club will be holding a registration morning on Saturday 25th February 9.30 to 11.30 in the GAA Social Centre.
New members are always welcome, if you have an interest in joining just drop in to get details and meet the coaches.
