Edenderry event to mark International Women's Day
Edenderry Women’s Network will once again mark International Women's Day with a fun-packed two-hour event this coming Friday, March 8, supported by The Station House.
This is the second year the event is being run, organised by the not-for-profit Women’s Network.
The event is free of charge and once again the EWN are celebrating local women. The event kicks off at 11am and run until 1pm, and there will be tea/coffee and some finger food.
The event is open to all women and people are encouraged to bring your mums, daughters, sisters, aunts and friends and join EWN for this great day.
Organisers are asking those attending to wear pink to fit the theme with guest speakers addressing those in attendance on a range of issues and topics.
Elegant lady’s Caroline Murphy will speak about practical skincare, while Sara Haboubi and pilates practitioner Eleanor Larrissey will be talking about life balance and wellbeing.
The crowd will be hearing about energy levels from Fiona O’Brien from Bio Energy Oils.
"As always we will be celebrating our very special guests from the Women's Shed and Little Wishes, as these groups are so important to our community. They are doing all the hard work and we will take the time to thank them for all their great work throughout the years," organisers said.
So, don't miss this special morning to celebrate all local women who are doing the best they can to make our community a better place to live.
Facebook have created a live stream event called #BalanceforBetter, in which they are encouraging all women and female entrepreneurs and business owners to share their stories and encourage other women to consider careers in business and politics using Facebook Live.
