Finbarr Redmond completing his 200th parkrun

Edenderry's Finbar Redmond, completed his 200th parkrun at Mountlucas parkrun at the weekend. Finbar has been taking part in parkrun since 2017. While the majority of his parkruns have been completed at Mountlucas parkrun, he has completed parkruns in a number of different locations across Ireland and as far afield as Washington DC in America.

Speaking to Finbar about what he enjoys about parkrun he said "It's not about the running anymore. It's about the people and the social side of it. I enjoy volunteering as much as the running at parkrun now too, and it's a great way to give back."

Speaking about what it means to him to have reached the significant milestone of 200 parkruns, he was very grateful to the friendship and supported gained along the way. He said "Massive thanks to everyone who has supported me at parkrun today, and from day one!"
