Novice driver clocked travelling almost double the speed limit with no N plates
Gardaí detected a novice driver travelling over 179km/h in a 100km/h zone in Dublin on Thursday night.
The Roads Policing Unit in Terenure spotted the driver travelling at the insane speed and also discovered it was a novice driver who hadn't displayed their N plates once they stopped the car.

Sharing a photo of the car on X, gardaí said: "It's hoped that a charge for dangerous driving may improve their future driving behaviour."
