Gardaí in TV appeal for man captured on CCTV stealing handbag in local pub

CCTV feature on Crimecall shows a man entering a bar, ordering a drink and sitting down at the bar.

A few minutes later the suspect notices a handbag that has been dropped by another customer and he proceeds to bend down and put the handbag under the jacket that he is now holding in his arms.

A few seconds later the suspect is seen leaving the bar and is captured on CCTV outside holding the bag as he puts his jacket back on.

A short distance down the road, the suspect spends a few minutes attempting to use a bank card from the handbag in a nearby ATM. He is then seen on CCTV walking away from the area down Meagher's Quay.

The suspect is likely aged in his thirties and is approximately 5 ft 10 inches in height, he has a medium build and he is balding. He is wearing a grey Puma hoodie and tracksuit bottoms along with a black parka jacket which has a fur collar.
