Gardaí make 'wee hours' car seizure as unaccompanied learner caught for litany of offences

Gardaí seized an uninsured car with no NCT and "dangerously worn" tyres from an unaccompanied learner driver caught speeding in the "wee hours".

Gardaí in Donegal town detected the driver travelling at 134km/h in a 100km/h zone on the N15.

Once stopped, gardaí discovered that the driver was an unaccompanied learner who had no insurance or NCT, while the front tyres of the car were also dangerously worn.

The car was seized with proceedings to follow.
