Tributes have poured in following the tragic death of two teenagers who were killed in a road traffic crash in Mayo on Friday night.

The teenagers have since been named as James Daniels aged just 13-years-old and Harry Fagan aged 19-years-old. Both were from Cloonfad, Roscommon.

The fatal collision involving a tractor and a car happened on the N83 at Levallyroe shortly after 8.00pm.

Both James and Harry had been travelling in the car along with Harry's younger brother Dermot, aged 15-years-old. Dermot was seriously injured in the crash.

The driver of the tractor was a man aged in his 50s who was taken to Mayo University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The Cloonfad community are still in shock following the horrific crash. Tributes have since poured in for both of the boys on social media.

Both Harry and James played for Cloonfad United FC, with the club expressing their condolences online. The club described the community as being in "complete shock, numbness and disbelief."

James Daniels was a talented member of the club's under14 squad and was said to have "loved being with his teammates and friends and had a lovely friendly personality to match."

The club also said: "Harry Fagan played for Cloonfad all the way through our underage program . Playing mostly in the midfield he always gave his best."

Both of the boys' RIP.IE notices have been inundated with condolences from people all over the country.
One person wrote on James' RIP.IE notice: "This young lad had a bright future ahead here, but God had a different plan that seems unfair and maybe none of us can understand right now. We pray James' family are given the strength to get through these darkest days and hold onto the best of memories, knowing that you will all be reunited one day. Rest in Peace James."
Another wrote on Harry's notice, saying: "I will always remember Harry as the mischievous toddler. the shy and quiet junior infant, the competitive school boy who grew into such a handsome young man whose loss is immeasurable to us all. Only a short life in this world but an eternity of joy and peace in the next."
Harry will be reposing at his home on Tuesday evening from 5pm - 8pm. Funeral arriving at St. Patrick's Church in Cloonfad on Wednesday for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon. The burial will take place afterwards in Cloonfad Cemetery.
James will be reposing at the PJ Keane Funeral Home in Cloonfad from 5pm - 7pm on Monday evening. Funeral arriving to St. Patrick's Church in Cloonfad on Tuesday for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon, followed by cremation in Shannon Crematorium at 4pm.
