Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly's proposed legislation will seek a complete ban of sale of single-use vapes

Additionally causing damage to the environment as they are being incorrectly disposed of and through littering.

The Minister for Health, has been outspoken on the dangers of single-use vapes, having said on NewsTalk this year, "There is a lot of public support to clamp down further on vapes. My view rightly or wrongly. The colourings, the flavourings, I think is very cynically targetting young people, including children.

Following legislation to ban the sale of vaping products to those under 18, which came into effect this past year, Minister Donnelly wants to also place restrictions on colours, and imagery found on the packages of vapes. And he has concerns that single-use/disposable vapes contain the maximum permitted levels of nicotine, containing 20mg of nicotine in the devices.
