A teenager has been arrested in connection with the ongoing investigation into the Dublin riots.
Gardaí at Store Street have arrested the 19-year-old in connection with the serious public disorder events of November 23, 2023 in Dublin City Centre.
During the unrest, seven vehicles were damaged by fire including three buses, three Garda patrol cars and one Luas tram, while eight other Garda vehicles were extensively damaged and thirteen properties were attacked and substantially damaged.
A number of Gardaí were injured, with one seriously injured person taken to hospital for treatment.
Over 400 members of An Garda Síochána were deployed on patrol in Dublin City Centre, including frontline uniformed Gardaí, supported by over 250 Public Order Gardaí.
The riots resulted in the immediate arrests of 34 people (with another person in his 30s arrested on April 2, 2024), primarily for public order and theft offences, with 32 people charged and taken before the Criminal Courts of Justice on Friday November 24, 2023.
The teenager was arrested this morning (Tuesday May 14) in the Dublin area and he is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda station in Dublin.
