Burn risk prompts immediate recall of cooking pots bought by over 1000 Irish consumers

Popular cooking pots bought by over a thousand Irish consumers are being recalled due to a major safety hazard.

According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), Cascade Designs Inc. is recalling MSR Select Cooking Pots due to the risk of burning or scalds.

The pot handle can detach or become loose, posing a burn or scald risk to consumers from hot food and liquids spilling from the product.

Details on the models and barcodes are as follows:

There are approximately 1255 affected products in the Republic of Ireland sold from 2008 through February 2024.

Customers should stop using the product and contact Cascade Designs for a free replacement pot handle/lifter that is compatible with the affected pot.

Cascade Designs will provide a refund if requested.

To contact Cascade Designs customers can email customerservice@cascadedesigns.ie or visit the Cascade Designs Recall Page for further information in relation to the product.
